daGama Community Guidelines

To keep our app valuable and enjoyable for everyone, please follow these guidelines when writing recommendations and reviews.

How to Write Great Recommendations and Reviews

1. Recommend What You Truly Love

Do this

Focus on places you genuinely enjoy. Imagine you're recommending it to a close friend — what’s the one spot you'd take them to?

Don’t do this

Don’t post unrelated visuals like logos, storefront signs, printed ads, product labels, or memes. Keep the focus on your experience at the place.

2. Add High-Quality Photos

Do this

Include 3–20 clear, sharp, and engaging photos. Great visuals help others truly feel the vibe.

Don’t do this

Avoid uploading duplicate or nearly identical images. Don’t post blurry, low-resolution, poorly lit photos. Never use stock images or photos taken from the internet — respect copyright.

3. Share Your Personal Experience

Do this

Describe your own feelings and impressions. Be honest and sincere — your unique view is what makes daGama real.

Don’t do this

Don’t use content from public sources, even if you created it earlier. Avoid reposting opinions from others or writing reviews without firsthand experience.

4. Physically Check-In at the Location

Do this

To publish a review, you must be physically present at the location and perform a check-in. For example, if you're in Paris, you can't review a place in Tokyo. This ensures authenticity.

Don’t do this

Don’t fake your geolocation or enter inaccurate coordinates. It undermines trust in the platform and in you as a discoverer.

5. Use Clear Grammar and Structure

Do this

Make your text easy to read. Use proper grammar, short paragraphs, and simple formatting. Structure matters.

6. One Place = One Review

Do this

Each post should cover one specific place only.

Don’t do this

Don’t duplicate places already published by other users. Don’t try to merge several spots into one listing.

7. Be Detailed, But Concise

Do this

Share what really matters — atmosphere, service, vibe, etc. Keep it informative, but tight.

Don’t do this

Don’t overload your post with unnecessary text. Avoid long-winded storytelling that clouds the message.

8. Include Practical Details

Do this

Include specific and helpful details, like:

  • opening hours,
  • accessibility,
  • how to book a table,
  • how to get there,
  • recommended dishes or items to try,
  • suitable audience types (e.g., families, couples),
  • unique features of the place.

9. Be Original, Avoid Copying

Do this

Use your own words and photos. Always.

Don’t do this

Don’t use AI-generated text or images. Don’t copy from websites or social media.Your personal opinion is the most valuable thing you have.
